The last venture of the snehajyothi Charitable society is that the home for women in distress.The centre got the license from Board of control for orphanages and other charitable homes, Kerala on 10/09/2015 for the period of 4 years.This centre is providing the temporary shelter for the women with domestic violence, distress and others needs protection.In many cases the mother and the children together came to the home and the mother have no space to go due to some family problems and other related issues.In such cases the centre provide the necessary protection to stay and work. In some cases, the mothers are placed in different sections as caretakers or assistants. Now we are planning to extend the home by increasing the number of women and to setting up the new department under this scheme.At present we have 15 inmates.
